In light of the public health preparedness efforts currently underway, Myriad’s top priorities are protecting the health and safety of employees, our customers, their patients, and doing what we can to support the healthcare system’s efforts around COVID-19.
Myriad is prepared with internal contingencies related to COVID-19 to ensure that the patient samples received will be processed and reported with the same level of quality, care and turnaround time that you have come to expect from us. In addition, to support our customers and patients, Myriad has expanded several of our virtual services to offer more flexibility and allow clinical operations to continue while alleviating pressure on the healthcare system.
If you are concerned about bringing patients into your office for testing, our patient advocates are standing by and can ship saliva test kits directly to your patients’ home and support the patient with any sample collection questions that may arise. For more information on this service, please call 1-800-469-7423.
Certainly, we understand that saliva samples taken at home may not work for all of your patients. Where possible, we can provide other support through mobile phlebotomy and clinical consult services, or patient education services with our team of genetic counselors.
If your practice is limiting industry access, all Myriad representatives are available via multiple virtual and digital methods. We have contingency plans in place to ensure that you will continually have access to our internal Genetic Counselors, Patient Advocates, Medical Science Liaisons and all field-based Account Executives and Regional Medical Specialists.
As you and your colleagues develop your own preparedness plans, Myriad is committed to work with you to navigate any unique challenges that may arise. Your Myriad representatives are available to support you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
As always, thank you for being a Myriad customer and for your continued trust as we manage through this time together.
